Cat in The Hat Party

My baby boy turned one! I was inspired to do a Cat in the Hat party since I saw Amy's "It's a Twin Thing" Post... I thought it would be an original 1st bday theme... It was a lot of fun to plan starting from the invitations. Here are some pics...

Centerpieces were The Cat In the Hat stuffed animal with "truffula trees" aka Fluffy pens in glass bowls :)

The Cat In the Hat...

Wow, I didn't realize how long it had been that I had posted a blog.. between finishing up school, work and planning my son's 1st birthday party I had neglected my little bloggie but have no fear, lots of updates coming up soon as the party gets closer.. Water Fun

A great idea for a birthday/summer fun!

This mom had great ideas to keep the party wet and cool on a nice hot Miami day... Water guns, water balloons, even some "fishing", another great tip was the "Jello Cake" (her son is allergic to cake so she opted for a fun way to sing him happy birthday and he can actually enjoy it. Check out the fishies in the bowl!

Baptism Celebration...

Angel photo holders with pictures of my son taken by the fab Studio By Carmen were given as favors...

I placed roses and tulips throught the tables for a nice spring touch.

Cheesecake Pops were given for dessert by my dear friend and talented baker Toute Sweet Creations... Picture of that to come soon....

Boy Baptism Invitation

I now got a great selection of pocketfolds in different colors and decided to use it for my son's baptism invites. I love pocketfolds! I might just use it for his 1st birthday ;)

I decided to keep it simple but classy... a cross could be added to the front or inside for more "oomph"

Thanks to the fabulous HWTM we celebrated my nephews 3rd birthday with this sweet theme.

The centerpieces were blume boxes filled with Sweet Factory Lollipops:

AW: My son's announcements!

Whoa, Life with a newborn has kept me very busy and I have not had much time to post as much as I want. But I finally got the annoucements done and mailed out so I wanted to make this post about my handsome prince who entered this world 09/01/08. I kept it simple because I wanted to display the 3 photos which were taken by professional (and super sweet) photographer carmen from Studio By Carmen. Check out her blog. :)

Baby Shower for a Little Princess

My friend Giselle had her baby shower for her little princes and it was a beautiful turnout. Lots of pink and chocolate brown decor down to the last detail. Her mom who has a great eye for creativity and party planning helped make this possible.
